I was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis before my 2nd birthday and was in a wheelchair by 18. I always had an entrepreneurial mindset but disability and pain always held me back – I just couldn’t manage to do all the things I dreamed of, and of course a lifetime of disability left me with many limiting beliefs around my worth, what I could achieve and how I could possibly serve people.
After going into remission a decade ago (check out the Recondition Your Life Academy if you’re looking to heal your life!), I knew that I could serve people by using the knowledge I acquired on my long journey from disability to wellness.
I was essentially coaching people for free, writing blog posts about holistic healing (for free) and writing health-related articles for years before I thought, hold on, I can make a business out of this.
So I did, and within 4 short years I scaled that business from the ground up, to build courses, memberships, coaching programs, affiliate programs and more, and now have a team of 4.
As a result I now have more childcare options, I can pay for things for my kids and my husband, I can treat my parents and I have more FREEDOM.
I opened my business after I’d done all the external AND internal healing, and this meant that not only was I time-efficient and able to use a healthy masculine energy to run the logistical side of the business, but I was also showing up for my audience from a place of high self-worth, authenticity, deservingness and with a high vibration that made me magnetic to clients and money.
I had never intended to create a business course, but I started being asked about my business nearly as much as I’m asked about wellbeing, and I realised that so many women in my community were struggling to build their businesses up against the challenge of having young kids, ageing parents, full- or part-time jobs, and other commitments, and most of them lacked in not only the logistical tools necessary to the running of a business, but also in the energetic side of calling money into their lives and feeling deserving of that money!
So I did what I always do … I came back to the question: What does my audience need and how can I serve them best?
And so the Female Entrepreneur Academy was born!
